What can I expect from The Essence House Experience?
The Essence House is a one-hour, fully immersive, multi-sensorial event.
With expert guidance, you will enjoy an intricate series of flavour and aroma tests, designed to uncover your true palate profile. You will learn new ways to reimagine taste and understand the impact of effervescence, temperature, and garnish. With these next level skills, you'll learn how to reinvent the way you create cocktails for both yourself, and others.
After your visit to The Essence House, you can spend up to two hours in the terrace bar. You’ll be welcomed by talented bartenders serving signature London Essence cocktails. As part of the experience, you can sit and savour two delicious cocktails. One bespoke cocktail will be prepared according to your individual palate, the second can be selected from the terrace bar’s exquisite signature cocktail menu at the end of the session.
Where is The Essence House located and how long is the experience on for?
You will find The Essence House situated in Carriage Hall, 29 Floral Street, London, WC2E 9DP. The experience will be open to the public between 02/10/2021 and 24/10/2021.
Do you need a London Cocktail Week wristband to attend The Essence House experience?
No, you do not need a London Cocktail Week wristband for The Essence House. You can also enjoy cocktails in the London Cocktail Week Main Bar without a reservation or wristband.
Will there be non-alcoholic cocktail options available?
Yes, you can enjoy non-alcoholic cocktails as part of The Essence House experience. Just let your host know at the beginning of the experience. There is also a variety of delicious non-alcoholic cocktails available at The London Essence Terrace Bar and the London Cocktail Week Main Bar.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The Essence House experience takes place in an indoor venue.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time on your ticket. Due to the live nature of the event, we will not be able to admit any latecomers.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, a printed ticket is not essential for entry. Please present your digital ticket on your phone on arrival.
Can under 18s visit The Essence House?
No, unfortunately not. The Essence House is an 18+ event.
Is the experience COVID safe and secure?
Yes, The Essence House is fully compliant with the government's guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Carriage Hall is wheelchair accessible.
Will there be strobe lights?
No, the event will not feature any strobe lighting.
Will the bar take cash and card payments?
No, the bars will only be taking card payments.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
In the event of a postponement or cancellation, we will aim to contact you within 48 hours prior to the start time on your ticket.
Can I get a refund on my ticket if I can no longer attend?
No, unfortunately not. The Essence House is non-refundable, non-exchangeable event, but you are welcome to pass your ticket on to a friend/family member should you wish.
Are there any food allergens used in the experience that I need to be aware of?
If you have an allergy or intolerance you are concerned about, please speak to a member of the experience team. Please note, caffeine will be consumed as part of the experience, equivalent to one shot of espresso. Water crackers will be offered to cleanse the palate.
